Lauren Woods is a Calgary-based multidisciplinary artist. As a professional singer, Lauren Woods yearned for an artistic outlet during the covid lockdown when all public performance was cancelled. She turned to the medium of alcohol ink during these years and fell in love with the meditative, flowing art form.

Her work is deeply rooted in the language of music. Each piece is born from sound—an emotional translation of what she hears into flowing colour and movement, exploring the intersection between auditory and visual expression. Lauren is captivated by the concept of capturing the mood of music in a permanent, visual form.
